Like many couples in this pandemic, Alex and David are faced with a big decision on what to do about their 2020 wedding plans. My heart goes out to them, and all the other couples who are having to re-think their dream day. Do you reschedule or carry on with a modified plan to keep everyone safe? It’s a big question. There are so many factors and decisions on a wedding day, and COVID just complicates that even further.

Luckily, they were able to visit Vermont so we could meet and do their engagement session. It was great getting to know them and hearing all about their wedding day dreams while they also got to know me. With very few couples getting married this year, it was so lovely to get outside in the fresh mountain air and to shoot again. I didn’t realize how much I missed it, nor did I realize how much smiling I do when I edit photos and come to one that I just love. It truly brings me joy, and it makes me so grateful to work with couples and call this “work” that I love doing.
