I received Margot and Brett’s inquiry for a small intimate wedding just a few months ago and I am so happy they reached out making this the wedding that kicked off my 2019 wedding season. They have been together for over seven years and engaged for two going back and forth as to whether they should have a bit wedding or something more intimate. Woodstock has been a special place for them visiting it every winter during their relationship together and came to the conclusion that it would be the perfect place to bring their family for a sweet garden ceremony at The Woodstock Inn Kelly Way gardens. The couple utilized everything the Inn had to offer including fresh seasonal floral arrangements by the Inn that would remind them of their promises to one another each spring when the flowers bloomed. Unfortunately, weighing heavily on their minds, the couple recently had to put down their sweet pup. Celebrating their dog’s life, Brett gifted Margot a glass-blown pup figure from Simon Pearce. We were lucky that the rain held off while the florals added the perfect touch of color for a spring ceremony. The more I photograph intimate ceremonies, the more and more I love them. There is something so genuine and authentic about slowing down and opting for those closest to your heart to be there for your day. Don’t get me wrong, I still get teary eyed at pretty much every wedding but these weddings are much more intimate and refreshing to be a part of.
