Julia grew up around Patrick with him being good friends with Julia’s older brother. Then they started working together for the same company and after three years of dating, Patrick proposed to Julia on the beaches of Cape Cod. Patrick had fond memories growing up and visiting Woodstock, Vermont for family holidays and new he wanted to share this special place with Julia. The couple has made many visits to the area finding it to be quaint making it the perfect place to celebrate their union with friends and family.

For their wedding invitations, the couple went with a soft ivory paired with sage green type through Albertine Press and had the Woodstock Inn and Resort debossed at the top. The couple had a wax stamp made of their wedding monogram which was paired nicely with their hand-lettered escort cards made by one of Julia’s bridesmaids.

The bride had something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. Her something old included a piece of her mother’s wedding dress wrapped around her bridal bouquet and her something new was her bridal gown by Malinda Macari at Your Dream Bridal. Julia borrowed her grandmother’s ruby ring for the day for her something borrowed and her something blue was her ice blue princess shoes.

The couple had goody bag cookies made adorning their wedding monogram and also had it on their dinner menu and after dinner cigars. This wedding had so many thoughtful details including the couple’s gift exchange. Julia gifted Patrick an engraved pocket watch and Patrick had the beach on Cape Cod where he proposed painted for her. Instead of doing a traditional guest book, the couple opted to have guests share their well wishes by signing a watercolor painting of the Woodstock Inn and Resort so they could display it in their home.

The couple could not have had a more perfect day surrounded by their closest friends and family. It was full of beauty, love and lots of belly laughs during those toasts, some of the best I’ve ever heard bringing me (along with everyone else) to the brink of tears then laughing out loud.
