Larry and Colleen couldn’t have had a more romantic and classic wedding at Basin Harbor Resort and Boat Club. They are city dwellers but treasure their getaways to Vermont and knew it would make for the perfect place to bring their friends and family together. When they started planning their destination wedding, they asked friends Jenn & Kent who their wedding photographer was and the next thing I knew, I was booked for their date. For florals, the couple worked with In Full Bloom. Their creativity and use of a wide variety of stems from succulents to fragrant mint and immature blueberries and poppies was amazing and so beautiful to photograph.
The bride asked her bridesmaids to select their favorite ensemble from a few favorites she had picked out from BHLDN and the variety ended up looking fabulous. The bride chose a classic dress made by designer Romona Keveza at Kleinfeld and the bride’s mom and grandmother made her veil. As a personal touch, the bride had handkerchiefs that were her grandmother’s for the day. Let’s not forget the guys who looked so dapper in their lazio blue suits from Suit Supply. I loved the couple’s style especially the wedding ring stackables designed by Melissa Tyson. Everything came together so beautifully and it was easy to see that Colleen and Larry were surrounded by lots of love as they start their journey of marriage together. At each wedding I photograph, I keep thinking what a privilege it is for couples to trust me on the biggest day of their lives and what an honor to be a part of the intimate moments learning more about two people coming together. I hope I never take it for granted. It certainly makes me grateful to be able to call this my job. Thank you, Colleen and Larry, for trusting me with your day!!
