This year I got to kick off the wedding season with one of my favorite couples and I knew it was going to be perfect when Sasha filled out her wedding day questionnaire with all the details of her day. She was well organized ahead of time and selected a great team of wedding vendors that created a magical day. The weather was absolutely amazing and the sunset was mesmerizing at the end of the night.

Sasha and Aaron were surrounded by so much love from their friends and family. They chose their siblings as their bridal party. Sasha wanted hues of purple and plum with her floral arrangements including sea holly, something that grows in abundance near their home. I’d say Erin from Nectar and Root did an amazing job. They wanted to include their dog, Lila, in the ceremony who behaved so nicely. For something different, but local, they chose Vermont Maple Sriracha sauce as both a wedding favor and seating chart for guests to find their seats. Sasha found her wedding dress and hair piece on Etsy creating the most gorgeous and classic ensemble. She borrowed a blue and diamond bracelet from a family member which served as her something borrowed, something blue piece for good luck. One very important element of their day was the ten-piece band from Brooklyn, NY, called The Cool Rulers, who put on a show making it difficult to leave when my time shooting was over. The couple wanted their wedding to not only be a celebration of their love but also a celebration ending their three-year stay in Vermont before making a big move to the west coast for Aaron to complete his residency.

Sasha and Aaron, I wish you both the best of luck as you start this new chapter of your lives and embark on this new adventure.  No matter what, I’m confident you will always be surrounded by love and you will most definitely make sure fun is had!
