Engagement photos are one of my favorite sessions, especially if the bride and groom have booked me for their wedding.  It gives me a chance to get to know them and it gives them a chance to feel at ease in front of my camera before their wedding day.  Let’s face it, it’s not everyday that you’re in front of a camera and for most people it’s hard to relax, so I always recommend adding an engagement session or going with a wedding collection that includes one.  Another benefit is that you have a variety of professional images in everyday clothing, not just your wedding day attire, to hang on your walls or include in your wedding album.

Abby and Nathaniel met at the First Congregational Church in Woodstock, Vermont when they both moved to the area to attend Dartmouth College.  With this in mind, it seemed appropriate to have their engagement session in Woodstock too.  Their recent proposal in April has them planning the wedding of their dreams, graduating, starting new jobs and moving to a new city all in a matter of months.  For some people having that many big events happening in their lives would cause a lot of stress but if it did with these two you wouldn’t know it.  They are absolutely smitten with each other and were so carefree during their session.  It’s such an exciting time for them and I can’t wait to document their wedding in the fall.
