Carlyn grew up in Vermont pressing cider with her family every October and has always dreamed of pressing cider on her wedding day against Vermont’s beautiful fall foliage. She and Mike knew Basin Harbor Club in Vergennes, Vermont would be the perfect place to host their friends and family for a weekend of celebrating. Carlyn chose a stunning Elizabeth Rauscher wedding gown and a sparkly pair of Kate Spade Keds so she could be comfortable and dance the night away.
We weren’t sure the weather would be cooperative but the rain held off for the important pieces of the day and provided dramatic skies and lighting for their portraits. While the temperatures were cool, it goes hand in hand with cider pressing. Guests were able to take a turn pressing apples into fresh cider and bottling it to have later. The couple had bottles that read the date and a thank you that said Apple-y Ever After, thank you for celebrating with us. It was the most delicious and unique wedding favor I’ve seen since I’ve been photographing weddings.
Carlyn and Mike, thank you for the opportunity to be your wedding photographer! It was so much fun photographing your day and I wish you both many years of happiness together!!
