I love photographing love.  This, I know for sure.  For a couple of years now I’ve been getting my feet wet in wedding photography.  First, by being a second shooter for some fabulous photographers in the New England area, which I still love to do, and have more recently started taking on weddings on my own as the primary photographer.  I’m not one to rush into things.  I am the type of person that has to consult with Consumer Reports if I need to buy a vacuum cleaner.  I’m a pretty methodical person and I feel like this is a quality that comes in handy when you are a wedding photographer.  I want to make sure that I am organized and efficient when it comes to delivering the highest level of service to my clients.  For this reason, I have incorporated engagement sessions into my packages.  I feel there are so many benefits to this.  It gives me and the couple a chance to spend some time together before their big day and get to know one another.  It’s also a great time to talk about poses we’ll do on their wedding day and I find that couples who have an engagement session before hand appear more relaxed and natural in their wedding photos because they know what to expect.  It’s also great to have engagement photos to use for save the date cards, guest sign in books and also great to have photos in your wedding album of you in something besides your wedding dress.  I just feel it is a win/win for both myself and clients when they are incorporated into sessions.

Brittany and Zach’s wedding will be this fall, creating a wonderful balance of photos with both warm fall foliage and these cooler winter photos, all while showcasing two beautiful seasons in Vermont.  It was my first engagement session since including these in my packages and I’m so excited to make this a part of my offerings.  These two have been so wonderful to work with and I was so excited when the bride wanted to do her session at the covered bridge in Woodstock, Vermont.  I look forward to their wedding day and capturing their love all over again!
